Waveland, Mississippi

In the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, members of the Sugar Creek Township Fire Department and Hancock County Sheriffs Department lent a helping hand to their brothers and sisters in Hancock County Mississippi. We received a semi load of supplies that were donated by the citizens of Hancock County to take to Hancock County Mississippi to assist in the rebuilding efforts. While delivering these supplies, we were able to see firsthand the devastation that was caused by this natural disaster. The main area we assisted, was in Waveland, Mississippi. During our stay we met many displaced brother firefighters and were able to help them in any way that they needed. Because of this, we have formed a good relationship with the members of the Waveland Fire Department.
