2010 7th Annual Poker Run (click)

On Saturday, August 7^th, 2010, the Sugar Creek Township Professional Firefighters will be hosting our 7^th annual Poker Run.  The Poker Run will consist of motorcyclists, who ride and collect cards at each designated stop to form their best poker hand.  These stops include several locations in Hancock County, as well as surrounding counties.  There will be police escorts used to enter and exit each stop.  This is done to protect and ensure the safety of the riders.   

For the past six years we have hosted this event to raise funds to sponsor various community events and organizations.  This year will be no different.  We are looking forward to using these years’ funds to help us continue our efforts in sponsoring youth sports teams.  We have done this in the past, but this year we would like to make a stronger effort to be able to sponsor teams in all sports.  We feel that by being a sponsor for youth sports, we are helping to show the youth of our community what teamwork and dedication can do to help them in the future. 

          We are always looking for ways to give back to the community.  This year we are asking for you to join with us as well, to help ease the burden of one of those that help to serve the community.
